Why is the incidence of sudden death from heart attacks on the rise?

Sudden death from heart attacks on the rise

In recent days, videos of someone having a sudden heart attack can be seen going viral on social media.

In a video from different parts of social media, a man dancing at a wedding is seen suddenly falling to the ground, while in another video, a girl suddenly collapses while carrying a bouquet in her hand at a function.

In another video, a man falls to the ground while walking with his friends.

After these incidents, heart attacks also started trending on Twitter and people were seen commenting and expressing concern over sudden deaths like this.

Recently an Indian actor Rajkumar died of a heart attack while he was working out in the gym.

Indian comedian Raju Shrivastava was also running on the treadmill at the gym when he got chest pain and fell. Later, doctors said that he too had suffered a heart attack.

Doctors are calling such sudden cases cardiac arrest.

Doctors say that heart attack is caused due to enlargement of the heart and muscles, blockage of veins and stoppage of the heart's blood pump, which can also be genetic.

Symptoms of Cardiac Arrest

Dr OP Yadav is the CEO and Chief Cardiac Surgeon at the National Heart Institute of India.

Be alert if you notice any unusual symptoms in your body, he says.

Stomach Pain

A feeling of heaviness in the upper abdomen

Do not mistake this for gas or acidity

A feeling of pressure in the chest

The sensation of something stuck in the throat

A sudden change in the body's ability to function, such as you used to be able to climb three flights of stairs a day but now feel tired.

Sometimes the pain is mistaken for a toothache or neck pain. This should not be done.

If someone in the family died in your 30s-40s or died suddenly, your risk of heart attack increases.

Dr Viveka Kumar is Senior Cardiologist at Max Super Specialty Hospital, Delhi.

Such patients have chest pain for half an hour or more, she says. The pain radiates to the left hand and is accompanied by profuse sweating. If it is not treated in time, it can turn into a heart attack.

She says only three to eight per cent of cases that occur outside the hospital are expected to survive.

Crown, immunizations and coronary failure

There were likewise reports in the media that there are more instances of such cases among the people who got crowns and who received any available immunization shots.

Both Dr. Yadav and Dr Viveka Kumar say that instances of blood clusters in the body have been accounted for because of the Crown and these coagulations can frame in the lungs, heart, leg veins and cerebrum. Be that as it may, patients have likewise been given blood thinners.

Dr Yadav says that it is conceivable that on the off chance that you have as of late had Coronavirus and, had a coronary failure, then, at that point, one might say that there is an association between the two, however, there is no evidence.

Yet, the chance of blood coagulating builds in such an individual who has a crown and in such a condition we encourage the patient to exercise and stroll while diminishing the blood. Yet, it would be inappropriate to say that each cardiovascular failure is because of Crown.

As indicated by Dr Viveka Kumar, chances of cluster development expansion in Crown.

In such a condition, if it is in the heart, the chance of coronary episode increments and assuming it goes to the cerebrum, it can cause a mind stroke.

Such cases are more normal among youngsters. Stress, smoking, and liquor utilization is additional causes.

More cases in men than women

Doctors say that estrogen is the hormone in women and testosterone in men.

By the time a woman is menstruating, her body has high levels of the hormone estrogen.

In such a condition, this hormone protects the woman as long as she is menstruating, but later the risk of heart attack increases.

Dr OP Yadav says that there are more cases of heart attacks in men than women under the age of 45. Its ratio is 10:1. This means that one woman in ten men has a heart attack.

According to them, as estrogen levels drop, the risk of heart attack increases. Also, at the age of 60, heart attack cases become equal in men and women. After the age of 65, more cases of heart attack occur in women than in men.

In such a case, doctors advise both women and men to pay attention to diet and exercise.

Explaining the reason for heart attack in young women, Dr OP Yadav says that the 'change in lifestyle of women is pushing them towards such diseases. Smoking, drinking alcohol and eating white flour has increased the risk of such diseases. On the other hand, women staying at home do not pay much attention to exercise.

The link between gym, supplements and heart attack

Doctors say that if you suddenly start going to the gym and start doing exercises that your body is not used to, you may face problems.

Doctors suggest increasing exercise gradually and making sure to get a medical checkup first.

If you sweat profusely, drink more water and don't deplete your body of salts. Alcohol, tobacco and drug use can also affect health and increase risk.

Avoid energy drinks or muscle-strengthening drinks because they contain drugs that affect you, says Dr Viveka. They also contain artificial ingredients, which can harm you.

Both doctors suggest that one needs to pay attention to one's health not only after retirement but also in youth.
